Happy New Year everyone!!!  I love the new year...thinking about what all is going to happen.  It's also a great time to be resolved to do things differently this year!  Have yall thought about things to do in the new year??

I hope everyone had a good Christmas!  I sure did.  I love being with the whole family, telling the family jokes, and watching 24 hours of a Christmas Story!! haha  Ahh..family traditions!

I'm heading back to Nashvegas on Wednesday to get ready for school.  I'm not so sure that I'm ready to start again, but ready or not, here it comes.  I get to have one more fun weekend though before classes start.  I'm heading down to Marannook this weekend for reunion!! Get excited!!!!  We had a prereunion-reunion this weekend in Nashville when David Stanley and Vince came in and met Tama, Haley, Gary, and me!  It was so much fun to see them again!!!  I love Marannookers!!!!

I hope everyone has a great 2006!!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

My face is a little bit swollen right now.  I had to go the dentist this morning to get a cavity filled that was breaking down, thanks to the awful dentist I went to growing up that didn't know what she was doing.  The dentist I go to now hurt me..I thought he was gonna yank my cheek off!  Other than that, life is good!  I'm home now!!  It's so good to be able to be home and not have anything to do but relax!  Yesterday, mom and I went shopping ALL day long!!  It was super fun..I finished up my Christmas shopping!  woohoo  This afternoon, I'm going to see Pride and Prejudice!

I went to Scotty and Melissa's wedding this weekend...it was GORGEOUS!!!!  Traditional, black and white, evening wedding that had everything, including bagpipes!  I'm so excited for them!!

Christmas is in FIVE days!!!!  Get excited everybody!  Family, fun and food!!  But most of all, remembering the TRUE reason we celebrate!!  MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!!!!

I'm done with my first semester!  I don't know how .. but I made it!!!  wohooo!!  And the best thing happened yesterday!  We all went in to take our final final yesterday afternoon and when we got there he told us all of us had A's and B's and that the final would be optional..Merry Christmas!!  I could have kissed his feet I was so excited!! So after that most of left to go out and celebrate!!  I really had so much fun being with my class last night...it was so sad to say goodbye though.  I mean, it's only been one semester and were already soooo close.  I'm gonna miss them so much over the break!  I can't imagine what it'll be like to say goodbye in three years..ahh!!

So now I'm packing up to go home. I have to be in Owensboro tomorrow morning, bright and early for an all day CPR class.  Just what I wanted to do after finals!  The reason I have to do this is because I skipped the CPR class at school to go to the best football game of the year..the Auburn/Alabama Iron Bowl.  It was so worth it!!

I'll follow Libby's idea of listing of Top Nine (cuz I couldn't think of ten ) things I want to do over the break:

1. Spend time with friends and family.
2. SHOP!!!
3. Go ice skating down by the river.
4. Visit Murray!
5. Go to Alabama!!!
6. Watch Christmas movies!
7. Play the piano
8. Go to a rockin' New Year's party!! haha
9. RELAX!!!!!!!

Something to think on...only 11 more days til Christmas!  Don't forget the real reason we celebrate Christmas.  I know it's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season, especially in the world we live in.  But take some time to reflect this season and focus on Him!

Twas the Night Before Christmas [The way we see things now]

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the town
Not a sign of Baby Jesus was anywhere to be found.
The people were all busy with Christmas time chores
Like decorating, and baking, and shopping in stores

No one sang "Away in a manger, no crib for a bed."
Instead, they sang of Santa dressed-up in bright red.
Mama watched Martha Stewart, Papa drank beer from a tap.
As hour upon hour the presents they'd wrap

When what from the T.V. did they suddenly hear?
'Cept an ad.. which told of a big sale at Sears.
So away to the mall they all flew like a flash...
Buying things on credit..and others with cash!

And, as they made their way home from their trip to the mall,
Did they think about Jesus? Oh, no ... not at all.
Their lives were so busy with their Christmas time things
No time to remember Christ Jesus, the King.
There were presents to wrap and cookies to bake.
How could they stop and remember who died for their sake?
To pray to the Savior... they had no time to stop.
Because they needed more time to "Shop til they dropped!"

On Wal-mart! On K-mart! On Target! On Penney's!
On Hallmark! On Zales! A quick lunch at Denny's
From the big stores downtown to the stores at the mall
They would dash away, dash away, and visit them all!
And up on the roof, there arose such a clatter
As grandpa hung icicle lights up on his brand new step ladder.
He hung lights that would flash. He hung lights that would twirl.
Yet, he never once prayed to Jesus... Light of the World.
Christ's eyes ... how they twinkle! Christ's Spirit ... how merry!
Christ's love ... how enormous! All our burdens... He'll carry!
So instead of being busy, overworked, and uptight
Let's put Christ back in Christmas and enjoy some good nights!

Merry Christmas, my friends!

Get excited because after about 3 or so months of not updating...here I am!!  Yes, I'm still alive but school has ABSOLUTELY consumed my life this semester!!!  I'm one final down and 3 more to go..woohooo!!!!  I've enjoyed school a lot and made some really cool friends.  It's a good thing I like my class because I spend like 40 hours plus a week with them.  haha  I'm so ready for Christmas break.  My plans are ... NOTHING!!!  I'm just ready to relax!  I might take a trip down to Murray...I miss not being with yall.  I've enjoyed the random times that I've gotten to see some of yall down here.  More people should come visit me!!

I don't really have much more to say...how do you sum up what's happened in the last three months.  I posted basically just to see if anybody would respond.  I hope everyone's having a Happy Thursday.  Enjoy the winter mess outside!!

So it's been almost a month since I last posted which is a xanga-first for me!  School has been unbelievably busy.  But I'm loving it!!  It's definately not easy but I do look forward to and enjoy being in class everyday.  I spend my day with the same 32 people all day, every day and thankfully we all get along, so that makes school lots of fun.  And since we don't have class on Fridays, those of us who aren't married go out on Thursday nights to de-stress before we study for the weekend.  I've gotten to experience some of Nashville's night life which is so much fun!  This weekend, everyone's taking me out for my birthday, so that should be interesting to see where we'll end up because you never know in Nashville.

What else has happened since the last time I posted??? hmm....  Well I went to Auburn (War Eagle!) for Labor Day which was so much fun!  Even though they lost the game to stinkin' Georgia Tech, I still had a blast being with some of the people I'd worked with at camp in 2004 and 2005!  I just LOVE hanging out with Marannook people (and Matt ..the adopted 04 person).

So I have my first graduate level test on Wednesday which I really should be studying for but I'm taking a break.  Pray for me if you think about it anytime from 7:30-10am on Wednesday morning, because I hear it's gonna be hard!!  I hope everyone's doing great...PLEASE keep in touch with me!!!  I miss you all!! Happy Monday!
