I'm done with my first semester! I don't know how .. but I made it!!! wohooo!! And the best thing happened yesterday! We all went in to take our final final yesterday afternoon and when we got there he told us all of us had A's and B's and that the final would be optional..Merry Christmas!! I could have kissed his feet I was so excited!! So after that most of left to go out and celebrate!! I really had so much fun being with my class last night...it was so sad to say goodbye though. I mean, it's only been one semester and were already soooo close. I'm gonna miss them so much over the break! I can't imagine what it'll be like to say goodbye in three years..ahh!!
So now I'm packing up to go home. I have to be in Owensboro tomorrow morning, bright and early for an all day CPR class. Just what I wanted to do after finals! The reason I have to do this is because I skipped the CPR class at school to go to the best football game of the year..the Auburn/Alabama Iron Bowl. It was so worth it!!
I'll follow Libby's idea of listing of Top Nine (cuz I couldn't think of ten ) things I want to do over the break:
1. Spend time with friends and family. 2. SHOP!!! 3. Go ice skating down by the river. 4. Visit Murray! 5. Go to Alabama!!! 6. Watch Christmas movies! 7. Play the piano 8. Go to a rockin' New Year's party!! haha 9. RELAX!!!!!!!
Something to think on...only 11 more days til Christmas! Don't forget the real reason we celebrate Christmas. I know it's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season, especially in the world we live in. But take some time to reflect this season and focus on Him!
Twas the Night Before Christmas [The way we see things now]
'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the town Not a sign of Baby Jesus was anywhere to be found. The people were all busy with Christmas time chores Like decorating, and baking, and shopping in stores No one sang "Away in a manger, no crib for a bed." Instead, they sang of Santa dressed-up in bright red. Mama watched Martha Stewart, Papa drank beer from a tap. As hour upon hour the presents they'd wrap When what from the T.V. did they suddenly hear? 'Cept an ad.. which told of a big sale at Sears. So away to the mall they all flew like a flash... Buying things on credit..and others with cash! And, as they made their way home from their trip to the mall, Did they think about Jesus? Oh, no ... not at all. Their lives were so busy with their Christmas time things No time to remember Christ Jesus, the King. There were presents to wrap and cookies to bake. How could they stop and remember who died for their sake? To pray to the Savior... they had no time to stop. Because they needed more time to "Shop til they dropped!" On Wal-mart! On K-mart! On Target! On Penney's! On Hallmark! On Zales! A quick lunch at Denny's From the big stores downtown to the stores at the mall They would dash away, dash away, and visit them all! And up on the roof, there arose such a clatter As grandpa hung icicle lights up on his brand new step ladder. He hung lights that would flash. He hung lights that would twirl. Yet, he never once prayed to Jesus... Light of the World. Christ's eyes ... how they twinkle! Christ's Spirit ... how merry! Christ's love ... how enormous! All our burdens... He'll carry! So instead of being busy, overworked, and uptight Let's put Christ back in Christmas and enjoy some good nights!
Merry Christmas, my friends!
